Word to the wise

If your toddler comes up to you asking to have her hands washed and she has not been painting, do not ask why. Do not inspect her hands. Do NOT smell her hands. Simply wash them, with a lot of soap, then change her diaper.

That is all.

omg, ew.

a few weeks ago, i licked what i THOUGHT was chocolate off of lily's hand. yeah..... how THAT got THERE (just a speck.... on the top of her hand) i'll never know. we fully participate in the washing of the hands at every little speck now though.

Oh. My God. Dude.

No way this could be mistaken for chocolate, but oatmeal? maybe.

This morning I brought her downstairs and had to run back up for something. Came down to find her gnawing on a bar of bittersweet Scharffen Berger that DH left on the couch. WTF? A) whitish couch + chocolate = truly bad idea. 2) leaving chocolate within reach of HRH cocoapuff is pure insanity. Plus? She can't possibly appreciate it. She thinks craisins are candy, too. Silly rabbit.
